The best AI event I’ve attended to date. The quality of the speakers outshines other events. The topics were practical, varied and unique. Well done to the organisers.

AI isn’t tomorrow’s world science, its today’s business reality. Any business that isn’t exploiting AI’s potential is at risk of being left behind.

Echoborg – Meet the bots.
What happens when your customers or employees engage with Conversational AI?
Come and meet some of the world’s most advanced chatbots and their makers to discuss what you need to know about using these technologies.
Your website or call handlers represent your company. What changes when your website speaks or your calls are answered by a bot? What do you need to know to make sure your customers are responding well to this social entity you have created? This event will unpack the corporate, proprietary and open source tools that are currently available in the market place. In clear and jargon-free terms we will explain where these tools should be applied according to business risk and process.
Steve Worswick’s Mitsuku, a four-time winner of the Loebner Prize Turing Test, has been described as the world’s best conversational chatbot. Steve will talk about the pragmatics of making a conversational AI system and how that fits into production systems as conversational architecture. Working within the Pandorabots toolset he’ll unpack some of the real-life experiences of rules based conversational AI working with complex context aware topics to a transparent and high level of accuracy. He’ll also look to explain about how the key pattern matching element can work with machine learning methods to allow for safe and efficient Bot development.
Like Worswick, award winning dramatist, Rik Lander and highly experienced bot-maker Phil D Hall have created a bot capable of sophisticated conversation that also exhibits something like a personality. I am Echoborg is a live performance during which the attendees of this event will be able to debate the future of human /AI relations with an AI.This encounter, directed by your own choice of words, may expose questions about, power, redundancy, ethics or tone of voice; key questions for anyone using AI or conversational systems.
At this event you will learn what the differences are between rules based, algorithmic and hybrid AI. Which is right for you? Come along, meet some bots and find out.
